St. Peter School continues its support of our parish “Project Lunch Bag” ministry each month by decorating the 50 + lunch bags that are delivered to local homeless people or families. The seasonal drawings and supportive and inspirational verses written on the bags are so appreciated by the recipients and allows our own students to pray for and support others who have so much less than they do. During November, the school community was also asked to donate extra items for the November lunch bags for the children in these families who would be home from school for extended time over the Thanksgiving holiday. Our hearts were so touched by the generosity of our school community and any extra items were donated to the Somerset Food Pantry. We are always looking for ways to connect our students to meaningful service projects to instill in them their role, however small or big, in making the world around them a better place. Well done all!
