St. Peter School kicks off the 2022-2023 school year on August 29, 2022 welcoming back teachers, students and families. In June of this year, the U.S Catholic Bishops began a three-year National Eucharistic Revival, to focus on and renew the centrality of the Eucharist as the source and summit of the Catholic faith. Catholic schools and parishes across the country will be participating in this event and we have been encouraged to do the same. I’m excited about this opportunity for our school to explore and celebrate all the ways Jesus is present to our students and all of us each day. Our theme this year, “Jesus. WITH Us,…Our Strength for the Journey” helps us do just that! Each day, Jesus walks alongside us through all the ups and downs of our lives as we journey to heaven! Our faith teaches us that Jesus remains with us in our hearts, in the souls of the people around us, in the beauty of His creation, in His sacred Word, and in the Sacraments – most importantly the holy Eucharist – Jesus fully present: body, blood, soul, and divinity. How good for children to know in their young lives that they are never far from the loving arms and help of the Savior! So let’s “pack up” for the 2022-2023 school year journey, with Jesus, and let the learning begin!
