Last fall our St. Peter School Rock’n Readers achieved a long-held goal of wining the all-around First Place Trophy for the first time in our school history at the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 Elementary Reading Competition. It was quite an exciting accomplishment. The success drew more students to sign up for the spring competition and our school had enough students to enter two teams in the spring. When the points were tallied, our Team B won the trophy and our Team A came in second! It was official…our first “repeat” for Reading Competition trophies! Members of the Spring Team B are: Hudson Clarke, Koa Anderson, Brody Stankan, Nathan Topper, Lionel Wang, Jacob Zawisza, Elin Polcha, Miley Sorensen, Spencer Zatko. Second Place Team A includes: Jackson Topper, Addy Gontis, Ella Sube, Ruari Egal, Grayson Glessner, Molly Stoy, Ronin Bergstresser, Joshua Brinton, Brycen Shockey. This was a huge accomplishment for our school, and for the teams and amazing coaches, Mr. & Mrs. Ulerich, who have worked so hard reading and preparing! Special thanks also to our volunteer moms who served as Moderators and Scorekeepers at the competition.
