On Friday, February 16th, Dr. Lanika Ruzhitskaya, Program Director of the Science Outreach Center at St. Francis University, along with STREAM Coordinator for the Johnstown Quadrant, Justin Ogline, visited St. Peter School with a large mobile planetarium classroom. Students in grades 3-6 visited the planetarium in which was set up in the hall and were treated to an educational and visual spectacle of lights, motion and star-gazing. The presentation included content and overhead movies about the stars, constellations and space travel. Teachers and students alike were amazed at the graphics and learned a great deal from the presentation. We hope to coordinate further partnerships with SFU to engage our Science curriculum and bring more STREAM activities into our school.
