Their streak is intact and a sixth First Place trophy has been added to our collection in the front entrance. Our two teams of Rock’n Readers successfully placed in the top two spots at the recent Spring Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 Elementary Reading Competition. Team 2 won the First Place trophy with Team 1 not far behind! St. Peter School has now won six straight first-place trophies in the last six reading competitions and we could not be more proud. These accomplishments are credited to the hard work, continuous reading, and preparations that each team member gives and to the time and dedication of their coaches. Our coaches for the spring competition were Mrs. Lindsey Swearman and Mrs. Cindy Miller. We also thank the parents who volunteered as scorekeepers and moderators and the excellent staff at the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 for making this competition possible. Congrats to our trophy winners, Rock’n Readers Team 2, and our second-place finishers, Rock’n Readers Team 1. A big congratulations to our sixth graders and team captains! Great job all!
