An End of Year Message from Mrs. Harris

“The secret to happiness is to live moment by moment and to thank God for what He is sending us every day in His goodness.” – St. Gianna Beretta Molla

The 2021-2022 school year came to a close on Wednesday, June 1st with an End of Year Mass led by our Kindergarten class who did a wonderful job!  The school then gathered at Pioneer Park for the annual School Picnic.

At the one-hallway school across the parking lot every Thursday morning we mention a few things that we are thankful for in the Morning Announcements.  These can range from pets to grandparents and everything in between. Believing in the power of gratitude to direct our hearts and minds to the goodness God sends our way, “Thankful Thursday” usually always brings a smile.   Learning and working in St. Peter School, God shows up in a big way and our gratitude for all that makes our school possible in never ending.

Thank you, Fr. Patti for your guidance and leadership and loving our school in so many ways.  Thank you to our parish family for all your prayers and financial support and for putting up with our crazy schedules  when we sometimes show up in a building unexpectedly!  Thank you to Linda in the Rectory for all she does every day to take care of the business end of things for our school and  your everyday support!  Thank you to Mr. Sanner for his amazing patience, hard work and encouragement keeping our school clean, setting up and tearing down for all of our events and always ready to help with a smile!  Thanks also to Mr. Jano, and Mr. Black for their help in so many ways!  Thank you to Miss. Brenda for her hard work making our school shine and “glitter free” from one end of the hallway to the other.  Thank you to our PTA and their leadership to continue to support the school with all the fundraisers including our new Chicken Sale events, Grilled Stickie Sale and monthly teacher luncheons!  To all of our school  families at home for their spirit and commitment to our school.“

This year we also had a group of moms volunteer to run our library every Wednesday.  Shelving, carding, covering and stamping they kept our library running and our students reading!  Thank you Ann, Jen, Renay, Cassie, Carissa, Karen, and Bethany.  We are so thankful for you!

And finally, we thank our teachers, staff, students and families for bringing life to our school with your hard work, and your smiles and everyday being the heartbeat of our school.  Each of you were “called by name” to this school at this time—and we are forever grateful.  Rest well this summer…it is well-earned.  God bless you all!  #stpeterschoolstrong
