St. Peter School returned to “in person” learning on Monday, January 11th after being “remote” since December 7th. Right before students went home for remote learning, the school completed its 1:1 assignment of Ipads to all students in Grades K-6. A few weeks later, we were gifted with seven document cameras to enhance teacher virtual instruction and in the words of one of our teachers, “life-changing!” Special thanks to the special friends of our school for making this possible. The PTA also has lent a great deal of support to the school to improve remote learning measures and “in class” instruction as well. This included white boards being installed in all the classrooms and earphones for each student. St. Peter School students and teachers are very happy to be back in school physically together again, but stand ready and more than able to implement “remote learning” measures when and if needed , thanks to these extra tools. Students have continued to augment their regular instruction in school with various virtual tools and parents have also gone “virtual” by submitting a daily online COVID Symptom Checklist as part of our school’s Health and Safety Plan. We are also extremely proud of our teachers for their many extra hours learning about and preparing for remote learning giving our students and families a smooth transition to virtual and then back to “in person” teaching. #stpeterschoolstrong
